Bridal Beauty Checklist.

Your wedding day is almost here! While all your thoughts and energy has been spent on planning your big day, it’s time to think about yourself and allow the countdown to the day to be as stress-free as possible. You want those wedding photographs to look stunning don't you?

2-3 months before your wedding gives you the chance before your big day to try and test things such as facials and skin tans (if you’re going for a spray tan). If anything goes wrong, you have the time before your wedding to correct it. A regular facial can be really beneficial as it will help you achieve a picture radiant skin. Try to also make regular appointments with a dermatologist to find the correct course of action for your skin. We recommend that you always do thorough research before committing to a dermatologist.

There are also many steps you can take to ensure your skin stays perfect. One piece of advice to share would be to ensure that you ALWAYS take your makeup off before bed and drink plenty of water!. We know water is boring but, there are so many ways to jazz it up so that it’s not so difficult to get your daily dose of water e.g. adding lemon. In the grand scheme of things, you’ll be looking fab after so really it’s worth it.

Now, we know tans can either go one of two ways. You can end up looking like a glowing golden goddess, or end up looking like a cheesy Wotsit. In this time, you can try and test many brands and techniques to find your best match. There’s so much out there now such as gradual moisturisers, foam, creams, spray booth or professional airbrush that you’ll without a doubt find the most suitable for your skin type.

1-2months before the wedding is when the exciting stuff happens. It’s time for a trial run of your hair and make-up. We’re going to assume you’ve already chosen your hairstylist and MUA – when trialling hairstyles it is important to remember to bring your accessories such as your veil or headpiece along with you to know whether they will go with your chosen look. Our biggest piece of advice is to experiment until you’re 100% satisfied. Before your appointment browse through magazines as well as Pinterest for bridal inspiration.

2 weeks before is the time to start the small touch ups; such as a hair trim, deep conditions and even highlights. Two weeks before the big day is definitely not the time for a drastic hair change – this is just the time to get your hair in tip-top condition. Also treat yourself to a facial, that will leave you and your skin relaxed, glowing and healthy. At home, you can also incorporate a body exfoliate into your shower 2-3 times a week to prepare your skin for a glowing radiant skin that will look great in your photographs.

This time next week you’ll be a blushing bride. How exciting!!! One week before the wedding is the perfect time to wax. A weekbefore the big day gives you enough time to allow any inflammation and redness that occure during waxing  to disappear. There are tons of  magic potions to help during the soothing process.

3  days before your wedding - Ensure you book yourself for one last skin boost in the form of a facial. As well as a fresh deluxe manicure and pedicure. Always make sure you book an appointment no more than a few days before as you want your nails to look fresh. A gel polish such as Shellac will keep chips away for up to two weeks, so when you’re on your honeymoon your nails will still be looking perfect. Getting your spray tan now will also leave you enough time to shower any tan residue left behind so that your tan is looking natural on your day, and you’re not leaving orange marks on your dress.

The day before your wedding should be left for some beauty sleep  (well at least 8 hours) and remember to stay hydrated. We’re sure you won’t want to be the bride with puffy eyes. All that’s left for you to do on your big day is to relax, be pampered and gracefully walk down the aisle to meet your soon-to-be-hubby.
