Why Should You Hire A Wedding Planner.

Why hire a wedding planner? Last night I engaged in a debate with a non-professional regarding wedding planning and the bridal industry as a whole. He asked me a question which I think most of you often ask - Why hire a wedding planner?

First and foremost; I think wedding planners are fabulous ha ha secondly i think it is mandatory. Whilst these are all my opinions I will tell you important reasons of how hiring a wedding planner might be the best ever decision you will make in your wedding planning journey. Saves you money - Speaking generically, we have excellent negotiating skills.

A successful Wedding Planner will have a database full of suppliers that suit your budget. Not just any supplier but suppliers whom they have a business relationship with. This is extremely important because these relationships might have been formed on a basis that the planner will receive discounts for client referrals.

Saves you time - Whilst you will have to sit down and spend hours and hours searching for the right supplier: A wedding planner will have all the right contacts to suit your budget. Weddings are very costly and it is very important to stay within budget. It is fairly easy to lose track of things and overspend on something which isn't particularly important. I have come across several brides who plan their weddings on a pay-as-you-go basis; this is a major NO NO!!! If you are planning a wedding, make sure you have ALL funds available.

One of the first questions I ask potential clients before taking on any job is their budget. I have to know which kind of suppliers I will be using for their wedding before we even start. Overall, budget control & monitoring will ensure that you are not over spending. And if you are, a wedding planner can advice you on how to cut down costs.

One of the most important things which a wedding planner can do is to ensure that you fully understand the small print in all your supplier contracts. I have come across a bride who did not read the venue contract and found out that they were not licensed for alcohol a couple of days before her wedding. Had she hired a wedding planner, this would not have happened. A wedding planner is there to help, support & guide you in your wedding planning process. After all, you deserve to live your dream.
